The Cincon CRT60W12 series represents a compact, high-efficiency DC-DC converter specifically designed for railway applications, providing 60W of stable output power. Featuring an expansive 12:1 input range within a space-saving form factor (5.09" x 2.28" / 129.4 x 57.9 mm), this series holds IEC/UL 62368-1 certification and provides reinforced isolation up to 3000Vac between input and output.

Currently available with a single 24VDC output voltage configuration, the CRT60W12 also incorporates convenient features including adjustable output voltage and remote on/off functionality. The series adheres to stringent railway standards such as EN 50155, EN 61373 for shock and vibration resistance, and EN 45545-2 for fire and smoke safety. Variants meeting EN 50155 Class S3 and Class C2 Criteria A specifications are available to satisfy optimal hold-up time demands.

Exceptional Performance:

Accommodating a broad input voltage spectrum from 14.4 to 160 VDC, the CRT60W12 series is designed to support standard railway power systems including 24V, 72V, and 110VDC configurations. The series delivers impressive conversion efficiency reaching up to 90.5% while maintaining stable operation across challenging environments with case temperature ratings spanning -40°C to +95°C.

Comprehensive protection:

The CRT60W12 series incorporates extensive protection mechanisms including reverse input polarity safeguards, under-voltage lockout, output over-current and over-voltage protection, over-temperature monitoring, and continuous short-circuit protection. The series conforms to essential safety, railway, and multimedia equipment standards including IEC/UL 62368-1, EN 55032/35, EN 50155, and EN 45545-2, while satisfying EN 50155 Class S3 (voltage interruption) and Class C2 (voltage change-over) specifications.

Particularly noteworthy, the CRT60W12 series achieves the most demanding operating temperature classification—OT6—according to EN 50155 standards, guaranteeing dependable performance under extreme thermal stress. Additionally, the product has successfully completed stringent Level 3 testing for EMC, surge, and ESD compliance, delivering exceptional resilience in electrically challenging or harsh railway operating conditions.

Applications:

Through its ultra-wide input capability, the CRT60W12 series accommodates both rolling stock onboard standard voltages (24V, 72V, 110VDC) and industrial input levels (24V, 48V, 96VDC), converting these to a fully regulated and isolated 24V output. Alternative output voltages and extra features such as integrated Oring FETs for passive current sharing and redundant system configurations, plus protective coating, can be developed based on specific customer requirements.

This versatility makes the series exceptionally well-suited for diverse railway applications including signaling systems, train control and management systems (TCMS), communications equipment, door control mechanisms, passenger information displays, broadcasting systems, HVAC units, toilet systems, and lighting solutions. The series also excels in industrial and ITE applications encompassing telecommunications, factory automation, instrumentation, power systems, and control equipment.
